I'm Denise Yeats - the CREATOR OF nnoodl
A bit about me
I have over 19 years’ experience of creating unique events across the UK, including ‘Vertical Rush’, the UK’s first tower running event, which went on to win numerous awards.
A highly respected events specialist in London, I have worked with a variety of charities and arts organisations including Cancer Research UK, Shelter, MS Society, WWF, Tate and the National Theatre. Recent projects include working with Place2Be and their Patron the Duchess of Cambridge to deliver their celebrated Wellbeing in Schools Awards at Kensington Palace. This event attracted worldwide media coverage, and huge praise from the Royal Patron about the faultless level of organisation, leading me to be selected to deliver this event again in 2016. I was also responsible for managing the two year partnership between the prestigious Masterpiece Fair and Marie Curie, raising over £1.7million for the charity.

The idea
My inspiration for nnoodl came from my love of London and a desire to try the many experiences the city has to offer. Like many of us, however, I felt overwhelmed by choice and so set myself my own personal challenge.
I collected brief information on a range of activities, and categorised them by giving them all a colour and a number.
I then left my fate in the hands of friends who would, on a weekly basis would suggest a colour and number at random to me and I would then undertake that activity.
I have to say this little experiment became surprisingly addictive, and resulted in me trying over 40 new things over a period of nine months.
I was struck by the positive impact it had on my every day life. I found myself dreading going to a singing lesson, but then loving it so much that I have continued weekly sessions - boosting my confidence in public speaking.
I went from being fearful of even turning up to a paddleboarding session, to now actually being quite good at it. Take a look at my blog here to see some of the activities I undertook.
Sometimes the apprehension wasn't of the activity itself but of turning up on my own. Of course I never was on my own, but surrounded by very similar people - many who, like me had tired of waiting for friends to join them and so took the plunge.
And so I invite you to take the plunge too....
